How much time do braces need before they are removed?

It depends sometimes they are removed in four year or two or maybe even three. It all depends on the case.

I had my braces for about 3 years. My teeth were always straight, unfortunately my bite was off (the way my top teeth sat on my bottom teeth) and it was causing TMJ. But it did help. However, I can't stress enough the importance of wearing your retainer after the braces are removed, your teeth can and will move once the braces are off it you don't wear your retainer until they reattach to the bone.

It depends on the person. It took a LONG time for all of my teeth to fall out, so I had to have them on longer. I'm going to take them out at the end of August, which means I've had braces for a total of two and a half years.

They take years......mine took 3 1/2 years to correct my teeth...but if you don't wear your retainers properly like I didn't do then the braces work will be wasted...so wear your retainer!!!!
