    Get an Avatar (cartoon caricature):

    1. Go to Yahoo! Answers.

    2. Click on your image, or click on 'My Profile' in the upper right of the page.

    3. Click on 'Edit My Info'.

    4. Scroll down to 'Pictures' section.

    5. Click on the 'Edit my Yahoo! avatar' (in blue letters, below last frame).

It should be easy to create your avatar, everything is intuitive. And you do have a few choices for hair color. Just be sure to comb your hair before you save your work and exit. (yellow 'Save Changes' button)

Before you leave the create avatar page, check out the 'Avatar Postcard' feature (far right hand side of first page).

    6. Return to 'Edit My Profile' page (click the 'X' for close in the upper right corner).

    7. Check the radio dial:

'© Use my Yahoo! avatar' (below your new avatar).

While you are at this point, scroll down to the 'About me' section and tell us something about you, but not too much. This will be displayed at the top of your 'My Profile' page.

    8. Scroll down to and click the blue 'Preview' button.

    9. Scroll down to and click the blue 'OK' button.

Go into your yahoo mail and you will have the option to create an avatar. Once you have created that you can then have that picture appear here.
