Who would you Cast in the leading Role?

I watch and loe CSI Vegas, Miami and New York. If we were to make a CSI London etc or some other place in UK, WHO would you pick as the lead characters? Me and my Husband where trying to pick a few earlier. Thumbs up to all genuine answers. + 10 points for the best.

Ray Winstone - though you'd need to reel him in with a series of great scripts - last time i saw him on TV he was playing Henry VIII - (an inspired piece of  against-accent casting - and, who knows? back then, English might have been more Cockney than Sloane).  RW played the part with a restless energy, passion, intelligence, machismo, power that made him sexy and (almost) sympathetic - but certainly understandable - 

For the female (Hegarty) lead - Miranda Richardson  (she wouldn't do it either).
