How do I prove I am just as good???

Just be yourself and don't worry about it..... You don't need to prove anything.....

The quality of your work should speak for itself. You're more likely to be treated differently if you make it an issue that you're different. I've worked with women in typical male roles, and the ones who can do their job as good as any man, and don't play the sex card fit in just fine. If your first engine rebuild locks up or throws a rod 30 seconds after you crank it up, your teacher isn't a male chauvinist pig and the school doesn't owe you 10 million dollars in discrimination damages for giving you an F!
