How do I prove I am just as good???

I am the first female to go throught the Diesel Mechanics program at the school I am attending. How do I prove to all the men (expecialy the instructor) That I don't want to be treated any different then everyone else who has went through this program?

Update:

And that I don't want to be treated as I am special cuz I am a female in this area.

The quality of your work should speak for itself. You're more likely to be treated differently if you make it an issue that you're different. I've worked with women in typical male roles, and the ones who can do their job as good as any man, and don't play the sex card fit in just fine. If your first engine rebuild locks up or throws a rod 30 seconds after you crank it up, your teacher isn't a male chauvinist pig and the school doesn't owe you 10 million dollars in discrimination damages for giving you an F! Just be yourself and don't try to be the best female student; try to be the best student period. Good Luck.
