What is the minimum capital expenditure required to construct a 500MW Nuclear Power plant (In US$) ?

What is the most efficient power output of such a plant for a Developing country?

What is the best method of power transmission between cities? HVDC or HVAC ?

    The minimum capital expenditure for constructing a 500 MW green field nuclear power plant ( PWR type) may be around Rs. 10 crores /MW and above .

    Plant thermal efficiency may be around 25 to 28 % max.

    For very long distance power transmission HVDC is present day preference over HVAC in Europe but yet to be popular in other countries .

    Best method is HVDC transmission. because it is more efficient .
