Is there anyone else who hates reality TV ?
There was a time when you could turn on the tv and watch a funny sitcom in the evening ,but all you get are these stupidly formulated reality shows. What happened to actors and laugh tracks?HOLLYWOOD!Stop giving everyone a camera and allowing them to film any no talent that comes walking by.Only a couple of sitcoms are still on,but I'm sure some network moron will get rid of them soon.

I live and work in Hollywood, and I can tell you honestly that most of Hollywood hates reality TV for the very reasons you have given.

It's pure greed on the part of the television execs.
Reality shows (and film clip shows like funniest videos) are very cheap to produce and make that producer a LOT of money.
The long term price being paid is that there are fewer writers being cultivated and so scripts in television and movies are seriously lacking.
I think at some point, television execs realized that we'd watch anything as long as it had a voyeuristic quality to it. The pain we felt in situation comedies is just as easily achieved with a pie in the face, a bat to the balls or the humiliation of being ripped up by a judge on a talent show.
Oddly one can take it one step farther in manufactured stars like the boy bands, kelly clarkson, hannah montana, ryan seacrest. Minimal investment, brief flashy career and a quick paycheck.

I don't really 'hate' it. Thats a strong word, but I do think its seriously pathetic. Just shows how little intelligence, imagination, and creativity there is in Hollywood these days. Aside from that, it has destroyed the lives of several actor friends. I have a few friends that have made their living as background characters, in walk on roles, and supporting roles. They can't find work anymore. They've lost their home to forclosure, one couple divorced because of money issues, and the stress it causes. They're just like us.. .not maniquins that are silent. They're real people that have bills to pay just like we do. Reality TV has been and will continue to ruin a way of life in LaLa Land.

Nope, each and every physique loves actuality shows. a hundred% of the inhabitants has come at the same time, and stated in team spirit "they'd take our lives, yet they gained't take our 'i'm a celebrity, get me out of here.'" i will in basic terms anticipate that each and every comic I even have ever heard point out actuality television had their jokes dripping with sarcasm. not that I understand what sarcasm is.

I cant stand them either. Those new, "millionaire" game shows are stupid too...has anyone ever won the million???
I miss the Cosby show Home Improvement and Roxanne.
