Nose Job/ Rhinoplasty post op i need help!?

Hello,

I had a rhinoplasty operation just over a month ago. The bump was removed and the tip was worked on, however because i'm a singer unfortunately I couldnt have it small as I wanted to. When the bandage came off though and I first saw it I was amazed, it looked small and a perfect shape. My doctor gave me guidelines to abide by for up to 3 months after the operation, these being:

No exercise for 3 mnths

No looking down for 3 months

No saunas/hot conditions for a year...stuff like that

also I wore tape up to a month from the operation on my nose. I stopped using the tape last week but now am wondering whether to ware it again, or at nights? How long is it usually worn for? My nose seems to look bigger now than it first did and i'm afraid it will change even more. Surely all the swelling has gone now? Is this nose the final form now? I'm really depressed now and confused. Please help :-(

Don' t be depressed. Mine did the same after reconstructive surgery. It's only swelling. It will gradually come down after several months. I know what you mean. I'm a guitar player and wore an actual cast on my nose for about a month. It sucked but everything turned out great. It's not a minor surgery in any shape or form. The nose takes time to heal. You'll be ok. Trust me.

you should probably wear the tape again, but ask your doctor.
