Is there anyone out there who suffers from gastroparesis and has a "stomach pacemaker" implanted to treat it?
I have been diagnosis with gastroparesis due to many years of diabetes. I've tried many medications to treat this condition but no success due to the medications causing side effects. I've heard of a "stomach pacemaker" being used to treat gastroparesis and I wanted to get some feedback on it. I would really like to hear from someone who has had it implanted or from somenone that knows of someone who has a stomach pacemaker.

gastroparesis will usually respond with adequate blood sugar control and prokinetic agents. For those who failed to respond with medications, a new management called gastric electrical stimulation (hope this is the one youre referring to) will be an option..it involves the use of electrodes placed in the muscle wall of the stomach and connected to a neurostimulator in the abdominal wall.

I have been in Angels Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Petco Park and whatever the name is of that sauna in Miami in Red Sox gear. Everyone treats you with respect/ignores you, except the Yankee fans. There is just too much history there. It makes it fun. As for your experience, I could never understand why a Yankee fan would show up at Fenway for a Red Sox--Tigers game in Yankee gear. Wear Tiger gear for Heaven's sake. Of course you are going to be the most loathed person in the park. Actually wearing a Yankee hat in the City of Boston is not the brightest of moves as a general matter.
