hotel recommendations?
i'm going to kansas city on september 9th...i'll be going to a concert at the Uptown Theatre...where would be the best place to stay by the airport or is there something close to the theatre...have never been to kansas city so i'm in the dark about these things but am tryin to get everything booked so please help

So, the airport was completely incoveniently planned for travelers. It is very far north and will be about half an hour from the Uptown, so you'll want to stay in the Westport area. I know for sure that there is a Holiday Inn Express in Westport.

Uptown is at 3700 Broadway in Kansas City, MO
Westport is directly south of the Uptown---you'll find some great bars here!

(If you look on the Plaza, you will be looking a little further south--watch out some hotels are way expensive!)

Airport is too far for you. There is an Embassy suites in Westport (I think). Anywhere in Westport or the Plaza would be close, safe, etc. There is a nice Sheraton on the Plaza that was $100 a night, but then again, that was 7 years ago. Try one of the hotel sites and look for on the Plaza.
