For the single ladies, Why do single woman go after married men?

Is it lack of stability or convenience on the womans part? Is it the challenge to see if the man will leave wife for the other woman?

I can honestly say that I have never been "the other woman" or even wanted to be, but theres usually a reason the guys married, right? He's got some redeeming qualities. Commitment is a very important yet hard to find trait. Husbands are appealing and a lot of low life women think "Ive got to get him!" Instead of "I've got to get a man like him!"

As a woman, who is not single, but has been, I can guess! It's all about the sex.

I think one reason I would have gone after a married man is attachment free sex. If he has a wife, it's less likely he'll fall in love with you after sex. It has been my experience that some men are just as easy with that emotional attachement and confusion of sex with love as all women are said to be. Yes, contrary to popular belief, not every woman is looking for a romantic relationship or desires a husband.

Another reason is the thrill of the chase. Some women are bored to death of being chased or knowing that they can get sex any where from nearly anyone. Men are just too easy, now a married man may provide a challenge. He may deny you sex for weeks, even months before giving in to that affair.

Then there is a little thrill that some people get from doing something wholey immoral. An enjoyment in knowing that his poor wife is sitting at home without a clue as to what's going on and imagining just how hurt both she and the husband will be when she finds out. I believe all people are capable of this thrill, some supress it while others get off on it.

Other times, it's just that these women are stupid. They confuse sex with love and think that this married men have some deep attachment for them, they've found their 'soul mate' and will one day leave his wife and run off into the sunset. It's pure stupidity.

Yes, a woman can be faithful once she is married even is she had a relationship with a married man. And to answer your question, the man that is married is the one who had the affair not the single woman who is probably out to have some fun with a willing partner. Again, as you may know, there is no predicting what people will do no matter what the situation.

  • I dont know cause I make every conscious effort to stay away from married/attached men. But I have heard from some of my friends who have had affairs with married men, that these men are more desirable and attractive for the mere fact that they are taken. You know, the forbidden fruit theory? Hmmm....

No .... it's lack of morals ... I have been single for the past 23 years ... and have never dated a married man ...

I've never "gone after" a married man... though I have had to beat them off of me with a broom.. seems its the married men who go looking for action.

I'd say its a combination of:

    1. Complete lack of morals

    2. A sick ego booster they get by taking something that belongs to someone else.

It could be to have a sex partner and not be tied down?

She can take him to bed but doesn't have to pick up his dirty undies the next morning kinda of thing?

Don't really know. Just an idea. It's wrong any way you look at it.

I've never gone after a married man. Why do stupid people like yourself generalize?

I think they just want to feel special and good about themselves, and the thrill of knowing they stole someone else's husband gives them that feelings.
