Have you ever caught a bass this size?

I caught a largemouth maybe 2/3 that size once and my brother, who was a hundred yards or so down the shore, didn't believe it was a bass. I decided to show it to him and was walking along the shore and stopping to dip it in the water every few steps and got to watch a small pickerel fin out of the weeds and close its mouth over the bass minnow. I pulled and both fish flipped up onto the bank. The pickerel's teeth never got the startled bass and the hook never got the pickerel. Just its closed mouth was enough to get it landed.

I caught a largemouth bass about that size a few months ago when fly fishing. I hooked it through the mouth with a size 8 olive woolybugger.

Thats a huge one! lol I actualy have caught large and smallmouth bass that size.

the smallmouth i caught while fishing for bluegills when i was a kid on a nightcrawler and hook.

the largemouth i actually caught on a storm thunderstick. The lure was bigger than he was. Put it this way... I emptied my soda bottle, filled it with water, and put him in the 12 oz. bottle to take home and put in my fish tank i had at the time.

I also had bragging rights to the smallest fish of the week on our last canada trip. A one inch perch that i somehow hooked on my thunderstick...lol

Nice! haha. I actually 3 that were no longer than an inch and a half in length,but not by hook.I was throwing a net for shad.

WOW!!! Your lucky you didn't break your pole with that monster. I have only caught them that size while throwing a cast net for shad. LOL

HMMMMM, seem ta' recall someone mentionin' that they had one heel'uva battle with one that size ;)... Just can't place who Dat' was???
