Hooking up 2 VCR's and one TV with an A/B switch?

I have regular cable and I need to hook up my two VCR's and my television. I have an A/B switch which I used to use to go between the 2 VCR's but I cannot remember how I hooked them up last time? I had it set up before but D/C'd it when I had a digital cable box. Got rid of the digi cable and need to go back to my original set up. Any help is appreciated.

You'll have to use a 2-way splitter first. In the "INPUT" side of the splitter, screw your cable in. From the 2 "OUTPUT"s of the splitter, go into each VCR's "IN FROM ANT" connection. Take each "OUT TO TV" connection from each VCR & go into either side of the switch's inputs ( A or B) . Finally, take your "OUTPUT" from the A/B switch & hook it up to your TV.

Most tvs have multiple inputs, so why would you need a switch?
