COH or LOTR?

I need a new MMORPG. WOW just doesn't do it for me anymore. I can't really afford to pay for more than one at a time, so I was wondering which other game I should try first.

I hear Shadows of Angmar takes a lot less grinding, which would be nice. Plus, I love the books and movies. On the other hand, I hear City of Heroes has a lot of RPers, which is a plus for me, and it's a bit cheaper to try for the first 30 days.

Anyone play these? Any opinions?

City of Heroes is a great game with an almost infinately customizable character for you to make. I've been playing it since December 2005 and I'm still having loads of fun with it. Plus the updates are free, you just gotta download them from the website, but they do that for you. CoH also rewards you for owning everything that moves. Once you hit level 50 (max level) you get 2 new character types to screw around with. Also u get many character slots so u can have ur main and a bunch of random ones. If u play on the guardian server u might see me around sumtime. Names Serrak, level 50 broad sword/invulnerability scrapper =P

Well you can get a pack of City of Heroes and Villains all in one and if you set up the account together then you pay as it is one game. I have had a lot of level 50s in the game. It is not an item based game. It is a lot easier and laided back. Not many people trying to scam you or sell things on ebay from the game. You will not run into the farmers and you can goto areas for pvp. There are a lot of little things in the game to keep playing for even once you max your level. You can design a character and have so many choices on things.
