Would Coconut Macaroons be tooo sweet if you used sweetened coconut and sweet condensed milk?

Because I read a recipe on allrecipes.com that included both sweetened coconut and sweet condensed milk. It got raving reviews though, and every other recipe I see calls for sugar as well as sweetened coconut and sweet condensed milk. Will it taste alright with just the sweetened coconut and sweet condensed milk? Or too sweet?

no because even sweetened coconut isnt sweet enough for a cookie, I dont think. I think that you must use both or it will be too bland. Just my opinion.

No matter how you slice it, anything with condensed milk is going to be rich and sweet (and awesome by the way). If the recipe calls for sweet coconut, condensed milk and sugar, try it without the added sugar. If it"s not sweet enough, add some sugar to taste. If too sweet, try making the macaroons a bit smaller in size to compensate.
