Should the John Doe provision in the Homeland security Bill stay in the bill?

The “John Doe” provision protects citizens who in good faith report suspicious activity to authorities. The case of the six Muslim clerics removed from a flight comes to mind. These people created suspicion with deliberate actions that warranted reporting. Praying loudly and praising Allah in public, no luggage, moving from assigned seats, asking for seat belt extender when not required. It appears they were testing peoples sensibilities in what might be reported. Now the airline and John Doe passengers are being sued. Any reasonable person would have had a hard time ignoring this behavior. Removing the John Doe protection will stop other good citizens from reporting such activity and greatly impact what our government asks of its citizens "report suspicious activity" Some Senators want it removed, if you think it needs to stay email your Senator. Another good reason why Congress has no public respect.

you have muslimophobia. first off, people trying to blow up a plane, let alone commit acts of terrorism, would not be exhibiting such behavior. second, by keeping it in the bill, you basically condone paranoid racial profiling.
