2008 Olympics????
Who is excited about the Olympics again? What is your favorite sport to watch? Did you train once in amateurs or participate in world meets to qualify for the olympics?
I love watching the worlds best "non payed" athletes participate in the best games ever. I hope you do to and are sick of free agents, money players, and lousy sportsmanship that I see in ballparks, arenas, and fields in the US........I won't spend money on "pro tickets" here in the US, but would love to watch real olympics, even though the press and other people have top priority.... :-(

From Australia - Gotta say absolutely pumped with only 379 days to go.
BOCOG's investment has topped a wopping US$48 Billion. That's 8 times more than what SOCOG spent on the Sydney 2000 Games.
Safe to say that this will be the largest ever man / female made event (in peace-time) that has ever graced our planet.
What a great way for China to showcase it beauty and heritage but also showcase what is now the "New China".

I'm pumped I have a Beijing 08 shirt and hat this will be a great olympic games. I am a competitive swimmer and I love watching the best swimmers in the world like Aaron Piersol, Natalie Coughlin, Kate Zeigler, Michael Phelps... to get some helpful advice on pretty and powerful strokes. It is fun to watch some sports I don't play too like track and field and gymnastics it's amazing those 15 year old gymnasts can handle the pressure and most of all don't get dizzy.

First of all, I am so TORN UP about the location of the 2008 Summer Games.
I am Chinese-Canadian, so I'm not against it being hosted in China since I'd have no problem going. HOWEVER, I recently found out Toronto was in second place, and I live in Toronto. This makes me sooooo frustrated.
& even though they lowered the prices so that more Chinese citizens would be able to attend, I'm still pretty sure most of the population wouldn't be able to pay to watch it, which is a big shame.
I love beach volleyball. It's great :D. I basically like all of the sports.

I am really excited for this coming Olympics. The Philippines may qualify for both basketball and badminton which are my favorite sports. I know your rooting for your country and I am too. The basketball team will play in the FIBA Asia to qualify for the olympics if they place 2nd or first. Even though there will be press and everything, they would still help broadcast the olympics. If you wanna watch, you can go to China. We can still wait for the olympics to be held in USA right?

I watch some of the games in the Olympics. Have you ever watched the Paralympics? Watching those athletes, I feel humble. I have all my limbs but some days I don't even have the stamina to get out of bed.

I will not be watching the olympics. Firstly, it should never be held in a country with such disgusting human and animal rights abuse and secondly the olympics is no longer about fair competition and the people who win just had the best chemists to back them up. So no i am not excited and i wont be watching.
