How do I get my Passport?
I live in the United States and my friend is having a wedding in Canada. I am invited, but I'll need a passport by then to get back home. How do I go about getting my Passport?

we have government offices set up here and there.. you have to go there to get it.. i had to fill out some paper work before hand.. and get my photo taken (make sure you check out a what the photo needs.. its pretty crazy.. no glares and such..)
i had to get my dr. to sign my photo saying it was me.. and you need some other kind of id.. i think too..
um.. hehe you might want to start looking into that soon for you and E.. before the rush gets on for the start of the new year...

Go to the website below, print out the forms and fill them out, get your documents together, take them to the passport office at your local post office. it is currently taking around 5 months to get a passport. if you need one before then, youneed to pay the fee for expedited service...and even then it wil probably take more than 8 weeks. If you are DRIVING to and from Canada, you do NOT need a passport until after Jan. 2008.
