Is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows truly the last book? Or is it possible that J.K. will surprise us?

I doubt she will since she planned the series to only last for 7 books. Plus I think thats why she ended it with "All was well." because there isn't really much of a story, its just a happy ending. She did say she was going to write an HP encyclopedia to explain some of the stuff that she never got the chance too.

Well I too think It's the end of the book.....I've heard about J.K wanting to write a new series and that she didn't plan on writing an 8th book. But....she Might write an 8th book. I'm not counting on It though. If she did, that'd be great! But I don't think so.

Deathly Hallows is truly the last book of the series, JKR is not going to make any books exceot for an encyclepedia.

She said it is not going to come out for a while, but it will be of some characters that didn't get much say in the book

You need serious mental help. Or at least a social life, so that something so trivial as the end of a book series isn't so devastating for you.

it is the end of harry potter but she is starting a new series or at least that is what I hear.

i think its the end, im sad about it too, but who knows, maybe she will shock us all and make a book about rons and harrys kids!

I think it's over...I heard she is working on something new right now but for younger children.

Maybe she will write the 8th book, and if it's out, I'm DEFINATELY getting it.
