Why won't my arms shrink?!?!?
Ok, I have been working out for months now. I walk 3.5 - 7 miles a day, do 30 minutes of step aerobics, 5 days a week, 20 minutes on the rowing machine 5 days a week and do 45 tricep extensions with 5-pound dumbells on each arm twice a day. I have lost weight and lots of inches everywhere BUT my arms! I have been told that there is no such thing as "spot reducing" and cardio is the best way to lose inches and tone up. I am getting married in 2 months and I look like a football player in my dress! Help!! I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Ok, maybe I am gaining too much muscle - but they are really flabby. You know, when I wave, so does my arm. Sad but true.

The cardio is perfect.
As for your arms, you are working them too much. They need 48 hours for the muscle to recover.
Also, in addition to doing the tricep extensions, which work the back of the arm, do tricep windmills and tricep lifts (to work all 3 tricep muscles) AND do biceps.
Do these every other day.

Because your working them out! If you utilize a muscle over and over again like your doing with tricep extensions then your obviously building muscle. The tricep is the largest muscle in your arm and working it out won't make it any smaller. If all you wanted was to slim down just do pure cardio, no weight lifting of any kind just pure cardio.
