Are democrats certain they can do a better job?
it just seems to me that in this day and age, terrorism on the rise, iran on the brink of the bomb, russia (ussr) raising its ugly head again, that it would be best to have someone in the white house who's party is known for going heavy on military and less on say...gay marriage, light bulbs and the fairness doctrine...

It's all controlled opposition. Republicans and Democrats are cut from the same cloth. Kind of like when you go to the store to buy cola. You basically have two real choices. Coke and Pepsi. Ones just a little sweeter then the other, but in the end, it's still cola.

Let's see, Hmmmmm, Clinton cut the military, (too busy in the oval office, I believe). So, I guess that blows that theory about the other party being heavy on the military. The Clinton administration was the most corrupt in the history of the U.S.
We had a great military when Clinton went into office. He was the second president to be impeached. Clinton undermined our national security by not only emasculating the U.S. military, but also the U.S. intelligence agencies, making our country vulnerable to attack. Hence; 9/11!
Wake up people and look at the bitter legacy left to Americans after Clinton's presidency.

Do a better job? A 3 year old can do a better job!!
Iran is not on the brink of a bomb, and we have more nukes sitting in subs in the med than everyone in that area combined!
Get real!
Clinton didn't leave 4,000 dead, not taking care of the wounded or a 3 1/2 TRILLION dollar addition to the debt!
In addition, most of the world hates us, and hates Bush!

It's a possibility that the Democrats not only are concerned with the military, but ALSO are active with other factors that are of interest to the people of the country. Maybe the current administration's first and foremost concern is the military (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but also their first and foremost concern heavily overshadows other issues that need resolving (which is a bad thing).
I was told to never change a winning game. From logic, I can conclude that it would be wise to change your game given that you are losing.

Yes, they are and judging from the polls a majority of the nation thinks they certainly couldn't do any worse than GWB. So sorry to bust your bubble, but that's just the facts and all your ranting and raving on Y/A isn't going to change it. Chill! I'm worried your going to have heart failure. You're just way too intense and obsessed. Lighten up. Relax.

This question is so ignorant and biased. I don't dislike all republicans but I certainly dislike Bush. And to belittle the causes of the Democrats into those things is just ridiculous. Do some research please.

The democrats live in a fantasy land.
They believe they can hold hands light candles and sing Kum Ba Ya and all will be good. Even as they watch peoples heads get lobbed off.
And I really do not believe they think any way will work but theirs.

Actually, given the alternatives, AND the history of the past 2 Bush administrations, I will take my chances with the Dems.
I know what to expect from Republicans. I am kind of tired of them.

These problems have been caused by the Republicans (above or below the radar) and you want to let them fix it??
