soft belly?
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and when i stand up, my stomach is round and hard and the skin almost painfully tight. But then when I sit down, my belly goes soft and smooshy and saggy, kind of like I imagine it would be after delivery. I did have some extra padding prepregnancy (I was 5'7" and 181), but I wasn't NEARLY this big...not this much tummy skin and flab at all! And I'm only up to 191, so it's safe to say most of my weight gain is baby and fluids and such. I don't really think it's anything to worry about as far as baby's health, so that's why I'm not just asking my doc straightaway, but it just seems like other pregnant women around this time have round, hard bellies in any position.
Has this happened to anyone else???

I was surprised I did not have sagging like my other pregnancies but I was in better shape this time, my belly was hard as a rock before I got pregnant. My tummy is real tight I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I gained a lot of weight I'm at 192 myself, I was 138 before I got pregnant.

I was watching youtube, and I noticed the same thing with alot of women, usually more in the late second trimester. I thought it was neat. It looked very soft near the mothers ribs, she could place her hands almost under the baby (not really ofcourse, but it looked that way). You still have time to grow and I'm sure within the next weeks you will firm up even more.
But you're right, nothing to be alarmed by, or contact the doctor about right away!
Best wishes

Sounds like plain old fashioned gravity to me. When you stand, baby weighs down your tummy, causing it to be tight and round. When you sit, the pressure is relieved, possibly tummy is resting comfortably on your thighs and therefore doesn't "tighten"..... I'm just guessing. I have a puffy tummy that's genetic and though there's only fat being pulled on by gravity and not a bundle of cuteness, I have the same effect: soft when sitting, harder when standing.
Good luck with your delivery.

It could be bloating or otherwise food related. I am at about the same stage as you and my belly size/shape changes day to day too.. I think the uterus will harden noticeably around 18 weeks though.
