Most of the time the rain don't happen till late afternoon early evening when the seabreezes collide together. Sometimes it can last a few minutes or a couple hours...usually doesn't last long at all. It doesn't rain all day down here very much..usually when a hurricane is near or a stalled out front. Best to do your activities in the am hours or early afternoon hours. Orlando is not the lightning capitol of the world..Florida use to be, but is the now lightning capitol of the US. If your day gets interrupted by rain and you are going to be at disney you might want to check out Disney Quest in downtown Disney... 3 story indoor virtual reality park. Each park has indoor activities as well while you're waiting out the rain.

Central FL is subtropic and the weather is going to rain frequently. Normally it does rain for about an hour or two each day in the afternoon and then the sun comes back out. Orlando is the lightening capital of the U.S.A.

I agree, typically in the Summertime in Orlando what happens is a rainstorm blows in (usually in the late afternoon), rains for a bit, and then blows over. I can not remember a day on my vacation where it has ever rained in Orlando for most of a day. Just plan accordingly by taking your own ponchos to the theme parks and remember that a majority of attractions are indoors for the specific reason that Mickey knows it rains in Orlando!

Did you know Orlando is the lightning Capital of the World??

This time of year, it rains here almost every day. Sometimes the rain lasts 5 minutes, sometimes an hour or so. It rarely rains all day. Right now, it is cloudy, but not raining. Yesterday it rained for about 5 minutes at my office. I live 2 miles away and it didn't rain at all there. I don't think you have to worry about it ruining your vacation.

Yes, it is sunny throughout most days and in the afternoon you will get the thunderstorms (usually around 4-4:30) then the sun comes back out and the rest of the evening is nice.

Yes it always had been raining almost everyday during summer time. The weather outside is hot and very humid. You would be sweating all times. Wish you have blast time in WDW.

Yes you get rain, but turn it to your advantage!

The rain showers often don't last long, but people exit the parks. So stick around and you will see reduced lines at the attractions.

Usually the day starts out sunny, but around 1-2 pm the thunderstorms hit and usually last all day.
