I don't like my best friend's boyfriend?
My best friend just got together with this guy that i think is a total jerk. I've told her this before but she likes him anyway. She told me that he promised that he'd be nice to me or else she would break up with him. But i don't think she would have to threaten to break up with him just to make me happy. And I'm trying to be happy for her but i just can't. I don't want her to get hurt either so what am i supposed to do?
and besides i dont talk bad about him or anything and i still totally love my friend hes just super mean to me.

I've been in this situation before and people have to make thier own decisions. The only thing you can do is be there for her when she realizes what you already know. Getting angry at her for dating a guy, even though you KNOW it would be better that she didn't, is only going to hurt your friendship. She knows you don't think she should be with him, that's all you can do. She has to figure out on her own what's best.

you don't have to be happy for her, but you do have to be her friend. if you've already voiced your concerns, all you can do is sit back and be there for her. people are going to do what they want to do, especially with relationships, and if you bug her too much about it, she's just going to be angry at you and then you'll really be of no use. I've been in this situation before, and I find that if he's really not right for her, she'll find out---the hard way---and then you can do what friends do best: be supportive. if the relationship is abusive, then you really need to step in, but if it's just an obnoxious guy you don't like, you have to be unselfish if you care about your friend.

Act normal and relax don't think about it or hang with some other friends. But to be real nice you TELL HER THE TRUTH..
To be a true blue friend. But you're right so you can what you want and it's her life, let her learn for her mistakes.

You don't have to like him. He doesn't have to like you. But that doesn't mean you have to be nasty to him. If you do, it'll just give the "jerk" more ammunition to be nasty towards you. Just be cordial to him for your friend's sake. If you have to talk to him- talk through him, like he wasn't really there. If he's a jerk, eventually she'll see it too. Remember good friends are always there with you, thru the jerks (yeah there will be more than one), weight gain and so on.

Be kind, try to see the good in him. DO NOT INSIST on your view. Find other interest aside from your friend. Be supportive in other ways so that she will know you are a real friend. Let go of that mental annoyance and maintain your good attitude and respect your friend's individuality.

Stay out of it! If he really is a jerk, she'll find that out. Face it, gettiing hurt is a part of life...it happens...people learn to deal with it.
Don't bad mouth him, and if he DOES turn out to be a jerk, be there for her when she needs a shoulder to cry on. Live and learn...we all go through it.

Sounds like Heidi and Lauren on The Hills, uh oh.
There really is nothing you can do, if she is in love with him, then she won't listen to you. Eventually though, if you are right about him, and he isn't right for her, she will realize it. And most likely come crawling back to you, it's then up to you if you want her as your friend anymore.

It's her life. Don't get involved. If you do it will cause more friction later on down the line. Trust me. Have faith in her that she wil make the right decision on her own. Otherwise just be there for her.

Love is blind, don't get in the middle. Stay friends if you can but stay neutral. No good will come of running him down. She'll have to find out for herself.

Just let her learn. Be there for her and stay her friend..and be supportive if she needs you to be. You will show that you are a true friend if you just let her date the guy.
