if we have a number and the sum of its digits is divisible on 3 then the number its self is divisible by 3?

    Yes that is correct... In fact that is a way to check to see if any number is divisible by 3. Sum up all the individual digits and then see if the sum is divisible by 3.

    eg: 12345

    If we sum up the individual numbers, we get 15. And 15 is divisible by 3!

    if the sum of the digits add up to 3, 6, or 9, the number is divisible by 3. Keep adding to get a single digit.

    The statement is true. In fact, this is how I always see if a number can be divisible by 3. You can use any number you like. It even works for decimal fractions.
