Is it a boy or a girl???

I am 29 weeks pregnant and was unable to find out what i am having at my 20 week scan as the baby wouldn't play the game, keeping its legs shut the entire time!!! I am carrying very high, and my bump is really round. Opinions please?!?!?

I feel for you! It must be frustrating to want to know the sex of your child and not have the option. However, the "old wives" tales don't work. I had every old signal of having a girl, but had a boy.

You will be thrilled with your baby no matter what the sex (remember, the baby was already a "he" or "she" at conception, so they are what they are).

You can offer to pay for another scan if your insurance doesn't cover it to determine the sex, but expect to pay aroudn $400. And be sure to drink something with caffeine on the way to the scan to ensure your little one is alive and kicking!

    Congratulations!!!

I carried my first low, and he moved constantly, second one was high and peaceful. Both were boys. Both were before scans. What was used with me and what I have used was a needle on a string about 6-8 inches long held over your stomach. If it goes back and forth its a boy. In a circle you've go a girl. I try to get it so the string is dropping off the edge of a table or counter so that it isn't influence by the holder. Or at least reduces any influcence.

I dont know if this will help but i found this Chinese Lunar calendar online that guessed that I would have a boy. I even went back and calculated all my brothers and sisters, it was right all the time. We are testing it out now on my two sister in laws and my sister. They are all due around Jan or Feb. We'll see. Good luck and congradulations.

This is kinda funny, but it has worked for me and my friends. If you notice that your leg hair grows back slower after shaving, that means you are carrying a girl.

The reason to this is because you and your baby girl are producing so much estrogen together your leg hair grows back slower.

And it is the exact opposite if you are carring a boy

How you are carrying has nothing to do with anything. Especially the later you get in your pregnancy and your belly is expanding and/or dropping. Ask to get another ultrasound, but if not, then your just going to have to wait until that lil' baby pops out.

I also tried the Chinese Lunar calander before I found out what I was having, and to my suprise, it was actually accurate. But, I imagine that it wasn't accurate with every woman - but I'm not sure.

I would just suggest you get another scan ....

Good luck - I know how you feel - I was SSSSOOOO anxious to find out what I was having too!

Congrats! And, just take care of yourself!

how you carry has nothing to do with it, my fiances mother carried the same way with all her children, its just a myth. ask for another scan

all we can tell you on here are old wive's tales which aren't necessarily true all of the time. ask for another scan to be sure.

this quiz doesn't necessarily work, but it'd be fun since you're completely clueless about the sex of the baby
