Why did Yahoo remove the news message boards when it's the most attractive component of yahoo?

I agree, yahoo news sucks without it... If you looked past the trolls there was some fantastic insight/information at hand. I'd spend about 5% of my time reading the article and 95% reading/making comments. I'm still looking for a decent news site to fill the void.

I'm pretty sure that yahoo removing the message boards had everything to do with them folding under the pressure of those who were offended by what they read. Unfoturnately rather than come up with a solution to the problem they simply removed the problem altogether.
