Does light intimidate and frighten you?

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Does your light shine freely? Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the potential powers inherent within?

    Beautiful!!! :-)

Only those who have held themselves back as this states, truly understand "A Return to Love" by Marianne Williamson.

The key passage is "so that other people won't feel insecure around you."

Some of us shrink back in a mistaken idea of "love" or worrying about hurting other people's feelings and making them insecure.

However, *true* love liberates others--just as Jesus did. We do this too, following His example, when we shine forth--allowing others to follow our example.

I believe it was written by Marianne Williamson for a speech given by Nelson Mandela. It's a beautiful use of words and something individuals like to hear, and an example of how such usage can make something appear as though it's true.

While there are some folks who will play down their accomplishments and talents in order to fit into a group, this is more a sign of a pathological need to be liked than it is some fundamental fear inherent in human nature. You can be sure most folks don't hold themselves back from attempting to fulfill their desires for fear that they'll be held in contempt by those who fail to fulfill their own.

It's a simple matter to look at your own fears and see which is greater; your fear that you may be "powerful beyond measure" or your fear that you may fall victim to others or the circumstances of your life over which you have no control.

Everyone seeks happiness, and most believe that's equivalent to personal empowerment.

human beings would be intimidated via you whilst you're extra smart than they're, are very acceptable, or in case you employ aggressive physique language (massive arm gestures, status closer than 2-3 ft away once you consult with them), or communicate aggressively (loudly, interrupt others plenty, in no way permit others communicate). Or they may well be crammed with crap. do no longer take heavily the opinion of anybody you do no longer comprehend.

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.

    Shine on you crazy diamond.

Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.

    Shine on you crazy diamond.

You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,

    blown on the steel breeze.

Come on you target for faraway laughter,

come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.

    Shine on you crazy diamond.

Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.

    Shine on you crazy diamond.

Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,

    rode on the steel breeze.

Come on you raver, you seer of visions,

come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

My light has burnt out and I am consumed with darkness.

    honestly, I don't think I ever had a light

What will it take to put out all the lights in everyone, so I can get some sleep?
