I have only been on Q&A for a few months. But what is contacts for? I am assuming so you can contact that person when you need too. Now be nice with your answers.

See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/network/c... for the answer. Contacts are people who you want to keep up with on Y/A. If you add someone as a contact, you become their fan (and vice versa, if they add you).

It is a way you can keep up with people who ask questions you like so you can answer them. Hopefully they will do the same for you.If you both have your email set you can chat to them that way, or by IM
