I bought a Jeep Cherokee Laredo?

I just put new tires on it.(Goodyear Wrangler SR-A)

I still have a little vibration in the steering wheel when I get up to 60mph and it also does it when I am at a stop. Any suggestions what it might be? I know it's not the road. I have gone on different ones.

Question is: Did it do it before you put the tires on? If not you definitely have an issue with your front end,but you will not have a vibration in you front while you are stopped. The only time you have a slight vibration like that is if you need a tune-up. When was the last time. Sometimes when you go faster it will get worse, run sluggish. If it is in your front could be alignment, bad balance, loose lug nuts, or even a wheel bearing.

Older Jeeps can have front end problems. It could be anything from a lose tie rod end to a control arm that's bent. Best way to find it is to lift the front end off the ground. Use jack stands to support the Frame of the Jeep not the axle or any part of the suspension system. You want to let the front end hang freely. Feel and wiggle the front end parts, to see if any joints are really loose.

Now you also say when you are at a stop it vibrates. Cant be the front end. your stopped. Could be a unbalanced engine or a bad engine mount. Or a whacked out steering box or pump.

You might need to bring it back to do the alignment... Nothing bad though, it costs about $60, maybe more for a 4 wheel drive though.

Whenever you change a set of tires, always do the alignment with it

could need a front end alignment, or the shop didn't do a good job balancing. You could also have a bent rim, but that should have been noticed when the shop balanced them. Take it back to the shop to have the balance checked, sometimes they get in a hurry and don't get it right.
