Why am I having bad symptoms after my period?

I am on birth control pills & my period is generally from Tuesday morning to Sunday afternoon. This time I got it on Tuesday afternoon & it was gone by mid-morning Saturday - so not too much shorter than usual. But I have been a complete wreck since it ended. I've been having hot flashes, cranky, cramps, crying uncontrollably, breasts hurting etc. which I ocassionally get during PMS when it is very bad but NEVER after my period ends. Why would I all of a sudden have such a bad time afterwards when this has never been a problem before? Could it have something to do with the fact that it ended earlier than usual? Any possibilities would be appreciated.

I don't think that the period ending early would have anything to do with it. Assuming you took your pills correctly, I would write it off to hormonal fluctuations and see what happens next month. Maybe you just got a bad batch of pills. If it happens a few months in a row, call the gyno.

    Maybe you're pregnant?
