Bugs and insects including spiders, scorpions, and other rodents can get into your home in a variety of ways. Once they are in they can reproduce and cause many problems. Smaller insects and bugs can get into your home through cracks of the door and in the drain of your bath (through the pipes). Rats can find easy ways to get in through small crevices in the particle board of the home and make their way throughout the home.

Spiders can do just that, walk in the door and up the stairs, but they do it in stages.Or they can climb outside walls and come through an open window. Ever wondered how you can find them in your bath.Well they can't come up the plughole because of the water trap underneath the bath, they simply drop from the ceiling. AS for mice, the can chew their way anywhere in a house.

At this time of year, I often notice that they have hitched a lift in with me on my clothes or in my hair if I've been in the garden. They come in on animals and even with washing brought in from the washing line.
When they are very tiny they can crawl under the smallest cracks and then they grow. If you leave a window open - they invite themselves in! They can come down a chimney even.
I don't mind them coming in, I just wish they didn't find it necessary to spin webs everywhere.
Mice can find small broken areas in a house structure - maybe an air brick - and move in.

Spiders and mice can climb almost anything and only need a very small opening to get inside things.
