Zoloft side effects ... nervous, jittery, shaky...?
Hey! I started taking Zoloft last September and had great results with little to no side effects. Then, I kind of stopped taking it for like, two months. Now I've been back on it for a week, and I've been feeling horrible. Nervous, Anxious, jittery, teeth chattering...looking over my shoulder because I keep thinking someone's there. Lol! Is it normal that I'm having side effects now even though I didn't get them before?
Umm, I also am on Wellbutrin. It was the same thing with the Zoloft...maybe it's the Wellbutrin and not the Zoloft? :/

I don't know how many milligrams you are on but because you were off it for 2 months it was out of your body so taking the full dose and not slowly starting back up can cause those effects you shocked your body.

If you are taking Zoloft for anxiety and or panic attacks, Zoloft works great for that. Zoloft has a great calming effect after a few months. it doesn't work right away you have to give it time. Welbutrin is known for bringing up blood pressure and has a lot more side effects, which is used for depression. That might be your culprit. Talk to your Dr. There are a few over the counter meds that I took that interacted with the Zoloft, like Aleve and Claritan. I hope this helps.

I'm taking both those drugs as well. I've been taking Zoloft for about 8 years. Some of my side effects included yawning (went away in about 3 days); a tendency to gain weight; a reduced interest in sex (though, at the time, it was a good thing). Wellbutrin makes my ears ring and if I take it too late in the day, can keep me up at night.
Please talk with your prescribing doctor about your feelings. Make sure your Dr knows about your start and stop, too. Don't be cavalier about taking it or not taking it.
I hope it all works out for you. Best of luck

Why are you on both? Does your dr. know that? I was on Zoloft in the past for 2 yrs with no problem. Then just recently, 7 years later, I started it again, only the generic brand. I experienced the same symptoms you are now! It went away and the dr. said it had nothing to do with it being generic. He also put me on Xanax which helped alot with the panic attacks. Now I'm fine with both meds but I only take the Xanax when i need it.

Allergic Reaction such as hives, swelling of lips, closing of throat, Irregular heartbeats, Low blood pressure characterized by dizziness and weakness, High blood pressure accompanied by severe headache and blurred vision, Chills and fever. Those were the side effects that I know would probably happen but I guess what you are experiencing is severe and you must consult your doctor for you to know if it's still safe for you to take it.

I can't take zoloft because I feel so bad on it.

Its really hard to say. Maybe you should go see your psychiatrist...there the experts so they should know. A lot of anti-depressants and such can come "off and on." But in the mean-time, hang in there. Don't isolate yourself, and get active! : )
