Triumph Bonneville T100 2006.?
Has anyone any experience of the Bonneville silencers in the Triumph accessory catalogue? From what I can gather they have a more genuine ' old Triumph Sound' than the stock ones which I think are way too quiet; you can't hear what the motor is doing. I gather some carb rejetting is required too, if you fit these. If these silencers are not deemed suitable for road use are there any alternatives? Many thanks.

There are loads of sites for Bonnie accessories! Try any of the following:
www.norman-hyde.co.uk
www.jacklilley.com
www.bellacorse.com (us)
www.new-bonneville.com (us)
Jenks Bolts
MotoTwin
The new bonneville forum on Delphi is pretty handy too, or talk to the bonneville owners on the Triumph owners club (www.tomcc.co.uk).
If theres nothing you particularly like, my brother had some custom made exhausts for just under £500, which isnt bad for a unique one off look!
Personally I converted mine into a cafe racer and put Bub 2-2 open exhausts on, sounds like the apocalypse!!
The triumph aftermarket items do sound a bit better and arent so loud to attract the law's attention, but theres better looking and sounding kit out there for the same price. You probably will have to fiddle with your carburettor jets and needles otherwise your engine will run lean and rough.
Its always good to meet fellow "new bonnie" owners, if you want any more info drop me an email!

Try Norman Hyde's website. He does a big range of stuff for the new triumphs and the quality is good.
