    b/2 = -7 + b

    ==> b = (-7 + b) * 2

    ==> b = -14 + 2b

    ==> 14 = b

    B/2=-7+B

    or 2B/2=2(-7+B)

    or B=-14+2B

    or B-2B=-14+2B-2B

    or -B=-14

    Or B=14 ans

    B/2=-7+B

    rearrange to get

    B/2 - B = -7

    Change signs to get:

    B - B/2 = 7

    Factorise lhs

    B(1-1/2) = 7

    B(1/2) = 7

    Multiply both sides by 2/1 to solve for

    B=14

    B/2 = -7 + B

    B = 2(-7 + B) [explanation: both sides * 2]

    B = -14 + 2B

    -B = -14 [explanation: - 2B on both sides]

    B = 14 [explanation: *-1 on both sides]

    B/2 = -7 + B multiply both sides by 2

    (*2)B/2 = 2(-7+B) simplify

    B = -14 + 2B subtract 2B from both sides

    B (-2B) = -14 + 2B (-2B) simplify

    -B = -14 divide by a negative to isolate your variable

    -B/- = -14/- simplify

    B = 14

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    TO CHECK:

    Put your value for B which is 14 in the equation where B is located

    14/2 = -7+14

    7 = 7

    and the answers are the same so it is correct

    B/2 = -7 + B

    B = -14 + 2B (multiplied both sides by 2)

    B = -14 (subtract a B from both sides)

    Hey there!

    Here's the answer.

    B/2=-7+B --> Write the problem.

    B=-14+2B --> Multiply 2 on both sides of the equation.

    -B=-14 --> Subtract 2B on both sides of the equation.

    B=14 Divide both sides of the equation by -1.

    So the answer is B=14.

    Hope it helps!

    Multiply across by 2 to get B= -14 +2B

    Subtract 2B from both sides to get -B= -14

    Divide by -1 to get B=14

    So B = 14

    Multiply both side by 2

    B = -14 + 2B

    B = 14/2 = 7

  • B/2=-7+B

    2 * (B/2)=2 * -7+2 * B

    B= -14+2B

    -2B -2B

    -B=-14

    -1*(-B)=-1*(-14)

    B=14

    hope that helps!
