What kind of frog is this?
Hi, my kids found this frog and we can't seem to find out what kind it is. we have looked through all our florida reptile and amphibian books and nothing. we thought maybe it was a cuban tree frog but they have bumps on the skin and this one is smooth. Any help would be great. thanks

Whatever it is, its a beauty!! Cute little thing! It would be much nicer to put it back where you found it so that the frog can have the quality of life that he was meant to have, and not spend the rest of his life trapped in a glass box.
If you are looking for a pet frog, go to your local petsmart or petco. They have many different kinds of frogs, I have personally looked at them and I have to say that they are very beautiful. Gorgeous coloring. Perhaps you could invest in a ten gallon aquarium, all the necessary supplies for it, and then once you visit petsmart and pick out the kind of frog you want to buy, go home and research that kind of frog. That way you can provide it with the best care possible right from the start because you will have educated yourself about the species.

He does look like a Cuban Tree Frog. Maybe he is just young. I can't find any other except maybe a Pickerel frog. How big is it?

those issues final consistently! omg, highlights magazine! takes me back to my young human beings(im 25 besides) they often are white, and that they are aquatic frogs meaning you cant take them out for the water, they stay consistently, i m fantastically optimistic they are going to outlive the human race! i've got self belief they're from Africa ask somebody at a petco/petsmart the subsequent time you purchase it some nutrients; they are going to be conscious of.

Hmm, it's definitely a tree frog that's for sure. I think it may be a Squirrel Treefrog. They can come in many different colors and patterns. Here's a website that may help you out.

Hi, Thanks for you help. I do think that maybe it is a young cuban tree frog. We have live in this area for 4 years and it is the first one we saw.
To answer the person who said to let it go. we will in a few days. The kids like to catch frogs and we have a very nice set up on the porch for them. I have crickets that we feed them. I let them keep them for a few days to study them and then they let them go and catch others. we take lots of pictures and they learn about wild life.
thanks Alberta
