Well, it would depend on what you consider a benefit. The chlorophyll it contains is said to help with bad breath. It also would provide fiber in the form of non-soluble cellulose, and we all need fiber to keep the system running smoothly. Unfortunately, we don't get any food benefits from it otherwise. Grass takes a long time to digest, and the human gut is simply too short. Cows and other animals that derive nutrition from grasses have several stomachs and a large amount of intestine to do the job. Grazing animals also have to eat large amounts of grass to survive, because it doesn't actually contain a great deal of nutrition even for them. So in the case of a human, we would get essentially no nutritional value, but would benefit from the fiber. But I can think of other fiber sources that would definitely taste better.

some vets say that it might aid in digestion, explaining why dogs eat grass all the time. (of course my dog always throws up when she eats grass, so i'm not sure i'm convinced.)

I heard dogs eat it when they're sick, but I've never heard of it having any benefits for humans? Interesting!

I think it helps animals (like cats and dogs) with stomach pains, like if they have up-set stomaches or something, but I am not sure about humans. It could have a completely different effect, but I do not know.

I know it helps animals with their digestive systems but I don't know if it does anything for humans (never heard of it).
