Terminally ill?
Typically as the child gets older they have more say in the visitation process. The child would have to testify in a custody hearing that they do not want contact with the other parent for whatever reason.

if you are a teenager and live with one parent if you wanted to stop seeing the other parent as long as you can prove it is solely your choice you can go to court and make this known. no court will make the child do something against their wishes. it is the childs rights here not the parents.

Yes if you are willing to sign some papers and there is deffinite problems in the home that would benefit the child divorcing his parents
