Need Low Calorie Breakfast Ideas - not sweet though!!!?
I hate sweets. That leaves out a lot of breakfast foods. I need low calorie breakfast ideas that fall more into the salty range.
Get as wild as you like with your ideas/recipes - I've been known to eat black bean and goat cheese quesadillas for breakfast! LOL

You HATE sweets? Wow, lucky you! I think a good breakfast for you would be an omelet with equal amounts whole eggs and egg whites. The whites give it more volume and protein but there's still some fat to keep you full and taste good. I like to make my omelets like this:
2 eggs
2 egg whites
3 tablespoons of water (beaten into the eggs)
about half a cup of black beans
Some red and green bell peppers, diced
Then I "fry" it in no-calorie cooking spray like Pam and add salt and pepper to taste. If I have salsa I put some on the side and dip it in that. Its very healthy and low fat but high in fiber and protein and I use it in just about any meal. I believe its a little under 300 calories, which is the perfect breakfast size and should keep you full. There are other good breakfast recipes at calorieking.com, I havn't tried them but I've tried other recipes from calorieking for years and so far they've all been good. Here are the "cheese, eggs, and protein subsitutes" breakfasts.

Another good thing in the morning is half a whole wheat bagel or peice of whole wheat toast +hummus and vegetables. Filling, hardy, hardly and calories. Eggs on toast too! Enjoy your breakfast.

Healthy Harvest Applesauce. 50 calories. It isn't sweet, really, and is very good for you and doesn't contain any artificial ingredients. Besides, fruit is the best thing to have for breakfast anyway. And with 50 calories you can afford to eat a little more later on.
EDIT: I know it isn't salty, but it is lower calories than most things...if not, try some Kashi hot cereal. It's great for you and usually contains about 150 calories...very filling, though!

One of the best options is dry toast. I agree with Thistledown that fruit is best, though. It's cleansing for your body and, as she said, very low cal. It also wakes you up very well. If you don't like sweet fruits, I would recommend a grapefruit or something along those lines.
Good luck!
Edit: Egg whites are NOT good for you. They contain hormones and antibiotics used to fatten up the chickens. Though they may only be 15 calories when completely pure, eggs bought in a supermarket are NOT pure, and they can make you fat. Cage free is not a protected term, either, so cage free eggs are just as bad as the regular ones.

drink 8+ glasses of water a day and eat fruits and vegetables... beans are usually low carb and very filling... special K has a lot of low-cal snacks and stuff to add to your water that makes it more filling so it reduces hunger... nuts can be high fat so don't eat to many and rice cakes have been proven to not exactly be healthy so watch out for things that say their healthy but have empty carbs or calories me personally I like to eat a orange, or crackers, or a deli roll for a quick fix or drink a vitamin water

Egg whites or egg beaters are a perfect low cal base for all your favorite stuff. Just mix in some veggies and meat ( I like ham) It only takes a few minutes to scramble eggs. You can tuck them into burritos, for a meal to go. Hummus is high protein and high fiber, you could eat it on pita chips, or with veggies.
