Anyone played the Top Flite D2?

I'm curious to see if anyone has played the new D2 by Top Flite yet. I have read reviews on this ball as well as talked with the local pro, and everyone is raving about it. The local pro even told me that it is equal to if not better than the ProV1. I will be trying them this weekend - just curious to see if anyone has any objective feedback to offer.

I have started using it to help take some slice out of my game and found it does travel straighter and it seemed to run further but not travel as far through the air. Hard to pull the ball up on the green when coming in with my 9 & 8 irons.

When I played the d2's, I enjoyed how I was able to power the ball, sometimes better then my nike one platinums. But the problem was that I didn't get the spin I wanted out of the d2's. My depiction of the golf ball is that it is forgiving, but when you have a solid, dead center of the face hit, you will find better balls elsewhere. My preference over the d2's and about the same price are bridgestone e5 or e6, they are great golf balls, and don't have the downs of a d2

Ya, it's the best ball I've played w/ for the price. It ranks in 3rd for me w/ the ProV1 being 1st and the other top ones like the B330 and the HX Tour being 2nd.

I used them three weekends in a row and liked them the first two rounds. The third weekend it was windy and I found that these balls were greatly effected by the conditions. It was crazy to see my tee shots starting out straight and then being pushed into trees and the rough all day. I pulled out my Warbirds on the 15th and finished well.

i completely agree with prodigygolfer, except i think the D2's are $20 and the bridgestones are $25.

D2's are great water balls or great for courses you are unfamiliar with or lose a lot of balls on.

a golfball is a golf ball in my opinion. I like tielist balls, not top flite. A golf ball, is a golf ball
