I removed wall paper from my whole living room with just plain white vinegar. I bought the big 1 gallon jug and poured it into a paint tray. First I used a clean roller and rolled it all across a section of wall. Then starting at the top I started to peel a piece and with a 2 1/2 " paint brush I worked from behind it by dipping the brush in vinegar and rubbing it on the stuck part. It loosened real easy and as I would peel it down I used the side of the brush that was wet with vinegar and rubbed it on the wall over any of the glue that was still there. After I got a section off I washed the wall so the wet glue drips wouldn't dry and also if any glue was missed I could go over it right away with the side of the paint brush. Worked great only make sure you put plenty of drop cloths on the ground as it can be kinda messy. Good luck, it's a messy job but just keep picturing how good it will look when your room is done. Oh, also, don't be surprised if after you get the wallpaper off you find nail holes or little gouges in the wall. Sometimes that's why people put wallpaper up. But you can easily fill them in, sand them and be ready to create your masterpiece!

I agree with the first answer about the fabric softener. Also make sure to use a "scorer" which cuts thru the wallpaper and allows the fabric softener underneath. Then take a plastic scraper and scrape it off. There isn't anything that is really easy, just be patient. Good luck.

Several years ago, and I will assume you can today, rent a machine that used steam on the wall paper. It was suppose to make the paper come loose. Again I will assume it worked, so maybe you could try something like that. Otherwise, good luck in removing the wallpaper.

there a lot of things you can spend your money on, but the cheapest way , fill a pump up bug sprayer with hot water and a soap mixture, spray all over the paper, maby takes 2 or 3 times get it wet and let it soak, , then start takeing the paper off, will have to keep it wet, and maby a putty scraper, and some trash bags to put the old wet paper in//depending on what kind of paste they used before, should peel off in large strips

Use a scraper, put fabric softener or white vinegar in the water mixture (both will loosen the fibers), Use a steamer or a steam iron on really tough spots

For the "scorer", do a google search on "wallpaper paper tiger". I have one of these gizmos. It scores the wallpaper to let the remover penetrate and do its work.

I have heard that you can use liquid fabric softener with water and this will loosen it. I hope it works for you.
