......many of Sara Teasdale's poems of nature, the sea, and the stars might fit the bill, though some of her poetry (most actually) was written in a somewhat lonely, frequently heartbroken and rather melancholey tone........she is, however, one of our most talented, (certainly my favorite), and deeply feeling poets of the last couple of centuries, and is sure to be respected by any bright and enthusiastic English teacher as an excellant choice for a young scholar to take notice of.........good luck and may your noble interest in the youngster's proper education continue............jeorn1@yahoo.com
