Removing Uncorrect Words From Firefox Dictionary?

I run Firefox & have installed the English dictionary & enabled the spell checker. My problem is there are a few words that I have spelled incorrectly & by accident right-clicked & added it to the dictionary so every time I write these words the computer sees them as correct & doesn't advise me.

I have tried accessing the program files & changing the word in there as well as removing all my cookies & re-installing Firefox & the dictionary but to no avail.

I would like to know if when writing an erroneous word there is a right-click option to REMOVE it from the dictionary? Logic would suggest there must be as there is one to add it but this is not shown on the list of options when I do right click so perhaps logic has no place here? so can I wipe my computers memory of just these mis-spelled words & replace them with the correct versions?

I know this seems trivial but it is extremely annoying! Thanks for any help forthcoming.

Update:

Hi, thanks very much for your input but I can't access it that way as I have the Firefox optional dictionary-here's the link to it if it's of any help:

As far as I know, Firefox doesn't have a dictionary or a spell checker. It's sister product Thunderbird does, though. Is that what you mean?

With any spell checker, there can't be a way to remove a misspelled word from the dictionary during spell checking: If the word is in the dictionary it's considered to be spelled right and so can't come up as a misspelling. There are usually ways of deleting words from the dictionary, but they're not options on the spelling correction box.

Here's how to do it with Thunderbird:

    1. In any outgoing message, click the Spell button on the toolbar.

    2. Click the Edit button on the popup dialog box.

    3. Now you'll be able to delete or correct words in the dictionary.

    Good luck.

Most of the file have an edit to them this will allow you to remove or change the words.
