should Meriel be closed down because it might have released the foot and mouth virus in u.k?

defra has said that a full investigation is going to be carried out tomorrow when staff turn up for work, will Meriel do the same?

Update:

watched the bbc news tonight and it appears that Merial is innocent! and that the government run lab vented the virus during a vaccine preparation run, so any farm in the downwind is infected. Should this work be carried out in one of the unused underground bunkers where nothing is vented into the atmosphere but kept in storage underground?

Update 2:

this evening it was reported that the virus was neither air or water borne which just leaves either human error or sabotage! some twerp (please feel free to make up your own anagram) is responsible for releasing the virus and causing havoc and heartbreak for the farmers.

Update 3:

latest theory = sabotage!!!

Mabe it should, its already costing millions lost to exports.. Big question is how and when did this virus escape from what should be a quarantined site in its own right..

Lily that what the press are saying in the UK today? Some even suggest that staff could have leaked this virus out. But at the same time it has done damage to the meat business in the UK. All cattle leaving the UK is banned within the EU. But the press also said if Meriel is found guilt of this, they will be sued for millions and be banned in Europe
