Guardian Wireless Pet Containment System, is it compatible with PetSafe brand??

Okay I got a PetSafe containment system for my dog. I am looking to extend the area of coverage. I found the guardian brand and it looks exactly and I mean exactly like the PetSafe brand. Does anyone know if they are compatible? I thought maybe one was made earlier or for canada or something like that but by the same company.... Or do you know where I might find out this info? I have checked the PetSafe company website to see if they changed names and didn't see anything. Thanks much!!

If they have a phone number on their website, you should try calling them. They are going to know much more about it than us Yahoo! Answerers.

Electronic fences do NOT work on many dogs. They are NOT bullet proof. It takes the right kind of dog to get used to these systems and it takes MONTHS of training to get to the point where you can be confident with the dog off leash. And even then you can never leave the dog alone or unsupervised and there will always be the chance that the dog bolts for the boundary to get to whatever caught interest on the other side. Doesn't keep things OUT of the yard, either..... I'm pretty sure your dog should not have been allowed to "walk right out of the boundary" so soon in the training - most systems want your dog LEASHED for several days before introducing them to the correction. Most instructions don't even use the collar until the end of the first week. Already i see that you're going through the training improperly..... Return the system and invest in an actual fence. If your dog is "traumatized" after one jolt then he does not have the proper temperament for this kind of containment system. Period.
