He seems like he wants to help and is devoted to you (good find) leave it to him, he knows his mother. Whenever you can see her, do and make every effort to be the ideal of a good muslim female (modest, meek, making every effort to please her man) and leave the rest to him.

you should consider how religion will be addressed once you have children. you will probably want to share your religion with your children. your husband will probably want to do the same. how will this constant conflict cause tension? his mother will want the children to be muslim, not baptized in a christian church. how will this LIFELONG tension effect the marriage? even if you don't have children, his mother is being very clear upfront that she doesn't want a christian daughter-in-law. you will have to deal with her for the rest of your life. DON'T assume that you can win her over. she is being very clear about her feelings.
BTW, I am a sociology student conducting a study on women's views on marriage, family, sex, and commitment. It is completely anonymous. I want input from single, engaged, married, divorced, and widowed women. Please visit the study website to answer the survey and contribute to the results.

In the same way that his mother may not approve because you don't share the same beliefs, you should consider this very carefully before you continue. Try reading 2 Corinthians 6:14.
If he won't give up his faith, then God has someone much better waiting for you! Good luck

Honey, I know you don't want to hear this, but I don't think this is a good idea....First you have the culture differences, not to mention the mother objecting to you. This is a battle that you will NOT win.
If you are a Christian, you are supposed to marry another Christian according to the Bible. If you marry this man, you will be unequally yoked.

You're setting yourself up for alot of pain and heartache - but, of course, you'll never listen to a stranger unless they are telling you what you want to hear.
Your faith should be central in your life, and I cannot understand how someone would want to live life with someone who doesn't share that same core belief.
