Need Help with my life?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out a little. Growing up I was really nurtured by my parents and never really started to act dependent of them until maybe a few years ago. I was mostly a little bit of geek in high school and didn't have a relationship ever because I never really thought of one until a few years ago. The only problem is because of somethings having to do with my past of being kind of loner and a geek and also having some bad experiences in being kind of impulsive I often feel like I have no confidence to be in a relationship. Do you have any tips for me to improve my confidence?
