Where can I get good homemade pasta?

I'm looking for an ordinary Italian restaurant that makes their own pasta for dishes like spaghetti and meatballs. I'm in Jersey so any places there would be great but I'd love to hear about any.

Maggiano's Little Italy is a great Italian restaurant that makes their own pasta. They have one in Hackensack and one in Bridgewater. They also have one in King of Prussia and one in Philadelphia, PA.

The best homemade pasta is made in a little store called Rafallo's on Houston Street off of 6th Avenue. I don't know if they sell to any restaurants, but you can go pick some up and make it at home. You get to watch then make the pasta while you wait. when it's your tirn to order you an tell them how thick or thin you eany your pasta, everything is made to order. that part of the village is pretty much old linr Italian. you can get the best fresh baked bread over on Bleeker, the only problrn is gettin it home eithout eatting it all. Much better Italian food, not commercial likr Little Italy.

Any of Mario Batali restaurants amke all their own pasta.

Try Lupa on Thompson in the East Village. AMAZING!

I don't know where in NJ you live, but Piccolo Italia in Ocean Township makes homemade pasta and it is so good! Right off of Rt. 35 in Cobblestone Village.

La Mela in Little Italy (on mulberry street between grand and broome) is a robust italian resturant with simple pasta dishes. Nothing too fancy, fun atmosphere.

My personal favorite is their seafood pasta with red sauce - TONS of seafood, calimari, shrimp, mussels, clams, over a huge plate of homemade al dente pasta - $18...

Lil' Frankies between 1st and 2nd Street on Ave. A. One of the best Italian restaurants in NY - not overly expensive and DELICIOUS homemade pasta. I always take dates there - it's cash only though so be prepared... :)

American Bistro in Nutley, NJ is a small restaurant with very good pastas, and other entrees that are not expensive & they give you alot of food. And taste too. I'm very picky.

Alot of bang for your bucks!

Another one is Vencenzo's in Lodi, NJ (off the exit for Rt. 46E) Tuesday night is their pasta night. Excellent sauces, especially the cognac sauce.

However lavish or simple, look for a more "family-owned" restaurant. You know, where "Italissmo are king", and you can know the pretty little daughters are real Italian by their sweetness and perfection.

You can get good homemade pasta by making it at home, and making it well.

THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET GOOD HOMEMADE PASTA.

What you get in an Italian restaurant may be GOOD, but it will never be HOMEMADE!
