A question to all?
Do you go through and thumbs up/thumbs down someone based on their religion instead of their answer? And if you do, is it it most of the time or only some of the time?
And I'm asking you, not (group). You, personally. I don't care what Sammy down the street does or what this group or that group might do.
Whoever is going through and thumbs downing all the answers, stop. Many of them are insightful.

Christians get thumbs down because they are wrong. It's simple as that. No one likes wrong answers.

I don't do thumbs up and down because I disagree with the answer, or even the religion or lack of it. I do thumbs down for insults, and that type of thing, and thumbs up if it is really a good answer.

Sometimes Yes I admit, but in general not. I put ups and down depending of the type of answer. In general I want opinions and I don't like that people preach on me with religious or non religious copy paste texts. When I receive a long-long answer I put a thumbs down just because is generic and molest the rest of the answers.

I never thumb-up or down based on religious affiliation (or lack thereof). I seldom give a thumbs-down, and if I do, it is usually because of a blatant factual error. I never give a thumbs-down for an opinion - especially when the question asks for an opinion.

I thumb up the good answers and thumb down the bad answers, I don't even look at the religion.

I tend to give thumbs down to people who answer narrow-mindedly. I have no problem with Christian, Athiest, Agnostics, Buddhist, Humanist, etc. I just like it when people say something is one way and no other way. people may say they know something may be true but they don't have proof, i don't necissarily need proof to believe in something, hell i believe the sun will rise tomarrow, i believe that i will be alive tomarrow, but i don't know. I have no proof. IMO religion is the same thing.
I also thumbs down people who answer really stupidly to an inteligient question, or to a person who is ignorant about something. Be nice people, some people are just curious.

I go by what their answer is. But majority of the time, I don't even do that. We all have our own opinions when we answer the questions given in here.
Why? Are you getting thumbs down most of the time? I know I got some because my answer wasn't good.

I am sorry to say, but my cursor literally hovers over 'thumbs down' of any answer I see quoting scriptures; the cursor is literally 'attracted' to it like a magnet. I do not recognize the validity of any statement some zealot wrote thousands of years ago in the context of his own culture and directed at his own people. One in a thousand will actually capture my attention and stave it off, but it is quite rare.
And yes, fundies, I am moral and spiritual, this only makes me more so...

I do, but based purely on the answer. I rarely give thumbs down except when the answer is extreme, like I am sure many people find my answers to be.

I only thumps down on a really ignorant answer, doesn't matter what religion. And I use thumbs down, some of the time, not all the time.

That would be a very wrong way to handle yourself and others. If you are judging someone based solely on their religion/belief system then maybe you need a nice long time out, because you are acting as if you are two.
