Earths resources.?

Uhm...killing trees won't conserve oxygen. Trees PRODUCE oxygen. So planting trees would be a way to create a net conservation of oxygen, because trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen.

I could conserve oxygen by dying. That would be a very effective, and relatively foolproof, way of making sure that my own personal carbon dioxide production drops off steeply.

the earth does a great job of fixing oxygen. It is everywhere! The oceans are full of H2O. Many of the rocks you see every day have oxygen in there make up. Anytime you see a rusty red rock, it it actually holding quantities of oxygen in the stone. It's just trying to get the gas into usable forms for life to breath that is getting more complicated. We can burn the rocks or evaporate the sea water, but it is hard to do, expensive, and creates other problems and pollution. Plant more trees .

Actually, killing trees does *not* conserve oxygen. Plants convert CO2 (what nearly all animals breath out) into oxygen, so halting destruction of plant life is the most significant thing that we can do.

Anything that burns also uses oxygen, from fires to automobile engines to gas water heaters and propane barbecues. Converting coal and oil burning electric plants to nuclear power would lead to the most significant improvement. A lesser improvement would be to convert everything to electricity (electric power plants burn fuel more efficiently than home appliances).

What????Trees breathe CO2.. They produce O2.

the answer is HEMP>. one acre of Hemp produces more oxygen then 5 acres of rain forests.. Not too mention how much you can use the plant for..and you can kill them off every year and have hemp trees the same size the following year..
