I challenge you to actually use a stopwatch the next time you are at the store. What seems like an eternity to you might be an additional minute or so. If that's a problem, leave home earlier.

You must be one of those people who tailgate, pass, then speed just to get somewhere 3 seconds faster than anyone else.

As the saying goes, "Patience is a virtue". Not only that, but if you cool your jets, your blood pressure will thank you.

Just take a deep breath, and then decide whether being behind that person is worth staying in that line.

More to the point, I used to work with people who were losing their sight. It takes them a little longer to put their change away, or their receipt, because they need to put things away in a specific spot. By being rushed by the person behind them, they are much more likely to lose money or a receipt that has important information on it.

It takes just a little patience. Remember, you might not always be as financially secure as you are right now. Just as you may not always have your eyesight. And you would want someone to not rush you.

I get annoyed with them too sometimes. But I try to remember that I'm lucky to be where I am in life.

Everyone holds up the line at some point in their lives.

That's life. If you go out in public, you have to wait your turn. If you don't like waiting or are impatient, then maybe you shouldn't in interacting with people. Be a hermit.

If you are in a hurry, great.....not my problem.

If you didn't plan your day accordingly, I'm not going to sacrifice mine to make you happy.

This is all part of life. Waiting in line for an extra 5-10 mins, is not the end of the world.

There are much more important things in life to be bothered by.

Since when do credit cards hold up the line? They are quicker in the places I shop.

Hence the visa commericals that are airing now where the person paying with cash or check messes up the flow of everything...

When my wife gets in line at the grocery store she politely tells anyone that gets behind her that she has a fistful of coupons. (Saves us tons of $$) If more people did that there would be a lot less frustration.

Now, if even a credit card is too slow for you well, I suggest you shop a 24 hour supermarket at midnight.

Life is the pits and people have to eat , and how may I ask , do you pay for your food.? Do you always have your wallet ready with the correct change? Patience is a virtue and is a h--- of a lot less stress full , then letting a couple of minutes of waiting in line give you a coronary.

Yes, this happens, but it's the food stamps that bother me. Standing behind someone dressed better than me and dripping with gold jewelry paying with food stamps makes me nuts. But I guess that rant belongs in the social science catergory...

Oh - you ain't dealt with shtt yet - I was behind a lady with three carts. She paid with cash, food stamps, WIC, and a personal check to clear $450.00 worth of groceries - took 25-30 minutes for them to approve and sign all that crap - ooh!
